We ended up spending a weekend in Miami purely because it was the cheapest way for us to get back to some main US airports from Guayaquil after our Galapagos trip. When we found out we’d be here for a stopover we figured we might as well make a weekend of it, and we’re glad we did!
Ok Ok I’ll admit it, it’s tacky, it’s crazy, it’s about as far away from British culture as you can get, but oh my god I loved Las Vegas! It’s probably my favourite city I visited in America, and we had an absolute blast, topped off by our fabulous decision to spend 12 hours visiting as many casinos as possible before catching a nightbus back to LA…
There’s not a lot you can do in Beverly Hills when you’re unwilling to spend a lot of money, fortunately one free thing you can do is to walk around and try to spot as many celebrities or supercars as you can.
While I’m in a blogging frame of mind as we sit in our apartment hiding out from tropical storms in Cancun, I’ve been thinking about just how much we enjoyed our visits to US National and State Parks while we were in America, and thought I’d write a little bit about these schemes and some of the highlights for us.
After flying into LAX from New York on Thursday evening, we knew we didn’t have a massive amount of time to explore the city properly before heading up to San Francisco on the Monday, so it was a super busy weekend! Either way we managed to spend a few days in LA, so here’s our 3 Days in Los Angeles Itinerary!
We had an option of either travelling to San Francisco by bus or renting a car – we chose a car because we had just been on a 3 day bus tour, and were about to embark on another 3 day bus tour!
Our first stop on our 9 month tour of the world begins in one of the most expensive places in the world, yes, we are spending 4 Days in New York City! Even though we currently have a fair bit of cash (as it’s our first week) we definitely wanted to stick to some form of budget while we’re in the USA.
